job description

Do you love beer? Do you want to get involved at the start of something big? Are you interested in being part of an exciting new Brewery? We are looking for a ‘Shipping Receiving Master’, to develop and implement the shipping and receiving function at a new partner/contract Brewery in south east Calgary.

This is a startup business on a large scale with a totally new facility, and is headed up by some of the brightest people in the international brewing industry. They are looking for a smart, passionate, driven individual to join the team. This role is considered a key part of the team and as such will have a seat at management meetings, and will also meet clients.

You’ll need to have the strategic vision to develop the processes, and the practical ability to put your ideas into action and carry out the tasks on a daily basis. Plus of course be expert at all things shipping and receiving - including receiving raw materials, taking orders, operating forklift, liaising with production, arranging shipping, managing inventory, building great client relationships, and ultimately making sure clients have their beer on time!

To be considered for this fantastic new opportunity, you will need the following experience:
• 6 years of proven experience in a similar role and preferably within the same industry
• Strong computer skills (MS Office, email, excel)
• Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Experience of being the link between suppliers and customers
• Excellent planning and scheduling abilities
• Experience operating a forklift is mandatory, and experience operating a scissor lift is an asset
• Able to lift 50LBS
