If you are currently working as a Kinesiologist or a Disability Case Manager and are looking for a better opportunity, we are currently hiring a Short Term Disability Case Manager for our client, a leading Canadian Insurance company, located in downtown Vancouver office. You can contribute your skills and expertise in helping adjudicate and manage long term disability claims..

In this role, you will be responsible for managing short term disability claims from intake to payment.

Responsibilities include:
- Provide resolution of short term disability claims
- Address escalated client concerns and develop case management plans to either facilitate a Return to Work program or a transition to a long term disability option
- Setting up new short term disability claims. This function will include contractual interpretation and accurate data entry
-Making decisions on claims using contractual, medical, functional and vocational analysis
-Constant prioritization of conflicting demands with extremely tight turn around times

- Disability Case Management/Rehabilitation/Return to work experience is a must
- Health science education is a must have for this role (i.e.physical therapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology, massage therapy)
- Strong analytical skills with a focused attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and decision making skills
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and conditions
- Able to work in a fast paced environment with numerous cases simultaneously
