Social Media Analyst,
Digital Client Engagement, Individual Marketing

Staying up to date with social media trends isn’t just part of the job description, it’s a
way of life for you. You live and breathe social media and research popular social media
platforms in your spare time. You spend your time convincing others what social media
tools should be used to reach target audiences, and although your effective
communication and collaboration skills help you influence stakeholders, your secret
weapon is your ability to convert data into actionable insights. You find joy in interpreting
data from social media platforms to influence the creative used, and use your creative
thinking and digital expertise to craft compelling, shareable content. You understand the
speed of the platforms and know what it takes to optimize a campaign in real time for
conversions and drive profitable ROI.

Main Accountabilities:
 Own the social media data analysis
 Undertake regular reporting of social media activities to provide interpretation,
guidance and recommendations to optimize the end-to-end campaign (including
segments, creative, content, networks, channels, tactics, etc) on an ongoing
 Deliver detailed and actionable insights and strategic recommendations on social
media tactics
 Lead the strategic development and execution of social media campaigns where
post-click/ view conversion metrics are the objective
 Manage the social media budget and optimize KPI's across tactics to maximize
 Create visually appealing and easily to understand dashboards to present data
and insights to executives

Located in Waterloo
6 month contract with permanent potential
Amazing opportunity for someone who loves social media data analysis and can turn raw data into actionable recommendations in visually appealing dashboards for executives.

 3-5 years experience in paid social media marketing
Education and Experience:
 University or college degree in digital marketing, business, or related fields
 Experience with managing social media accounts for brands with a clear focus
on leveraging data to drive business results.
 Experience with managing social communities, developing, leading and
executing social media strategies and analyzing and reporting results.
 Practical experience developing dashboards, executive level reports and
utilization of data for digital media optimization, including techniques for
measuring end-to-end effectiveness across digital marketing touch points
 Experience managing campaign budgets
 Experience in successfully managing agency and vendor relationships.
 Working knowledge and expertise in strategies utilized to optimize performance
through multiple digital devices (desktop, mobile and tablet).
 Strong teamwork orientation and proven leadership capabilities with an ability to
work effectively in a constantly changing environment, requiring ongoing re-
evaluation of priorities.
 Superior impact and influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to lead large
scale enterprise wide initiatives.
 Hands on experience for the required key platforms required (Facebook business
manager, Google Analytics, Adobe AdCloud, and Adobe Analytics)
 Previous Digital Marketing agency experience is an asset
