Are you a finance professional with previous experience developing compensation packages? Do you have experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously? Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your skills in a leading finance organization? If so look no further, as we have an excellent opportunity for you!

We are currently looking for a Specialist, Financial Planning and Implementation to support our client, a leading Canadian bank, in their downtown Toronto office. In this role you will work full time hours on a 6 month assignment (still being determined), earning a competitive rate of $31 per hour. As a Specialist, Financial Planning and Implementation, you main responsibilities will be help develop director compensation packages. This will include but not be limited to the following:

Compensation Design
• Co-ordinate, carry out and assume primary responsibility for the quarterly processing of director compensation, documentation of procedures and providing ongoing analysis through the development and use of tracking tools.
• Lead the design, development, testing, maintenance and delivery/communication of director compensation. • Incorporate existing processes and manage complex technology resources to track director elections, cash payments, deferred share unit allocations and share purchases, manage director on-boarding and off-boarding of the director payroll system, including retirement payouts
• Investigate and reconcile discrepancies and report to Finance regarding accruals.

Annual Shareholders Meeting and Proxy Project Management
• Co-ordinate, manage and assume primary responsibility for several key projects with multiple and inter-related deliverables within the larger Annual Meeting (AGM) and Management Proxy Circular (MPC) projects.
• Take a leadership role in coordinating the deliverables of third-party service providers and internal contributors and play a key role in the execution of the project plan in a manner that effectively balances the specified mix of quality, time and cost
• Develop “living” work schedules for a range of interrelated activities, with a built-in ability to flex and respond to changing priorities.

Relationship Management
• Provide high level, independent support to the Senior Director and Assistant Corporate Secretary (ACS) and develop administration procedures and processes to respond to the operating style of the ACS and the Department overall.
• Manage relationship with and give direction to third party service providers, including printers, translators, intermediaries, the transfer agent and venue event managers
• Work directly with the business lead (ACS) throughout project life, from initial build, requirements gathering and resource allocation, through to implementation and follow-up.
• Work in partnership with other infrastructure areas (e.g. Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, E-Channels) to coordinate venue requirements, comply with filing requirements and coordinate web postings.

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Digital Savvy - Candidate should be able to adapt to new tools and trends
• Excel skills- intermediate to expert level
• Experience with reporting in an administrative/financial capacity
• MS Project Experience WOULD BE A HUGE ASSET.
• Experience with Compensation/Payroll.
• Critical thinking skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Comfortable with monotonous tasks
• Ability to Work within tight deadlines
• Must enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information/date
