This position is for a Contracts Clerk/Coordinator within the GD law department resource who works with internal legal counsel, the Senior Law Contracts Analyst, Supply Chain Management and other departments to support commercial contracting needs across the organization. Tasks performed by this role include administration and management of the Contract Management System (CMS), the administration of the companies electronic signature tool utilized for contracts, and monthly compliance reporting and monitoring contract compliance with companies internal policies related to contract management. There may also be some opportunity for drafting simple commercial contracts for review by internal legal counsel and reviewing contracts (including verifying and amending key terms and negotiating appropriate revisions).

Duties & Responsibilities:
o Management and administration of the CMS and supporting business processes
o Administration of contracts through electronic signature tool
o Conduct monthly reporting in support of contract compliance
o Ensure timely communication on the status of work in progress
o Act as a first point of contact for internal client inquiries regarding contracts and applicable companies policies and systems
o May involve drafting, reviewing and editing to simple commercial contracts


QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 to 3 years of progressive contract management or contract administration experience
• Strong process management skills
• Proficient with MS Office, experience with contract management systems, and able to learn other systems/programs independently
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Detail oriented with strong critical thinking skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to interact professionally with internal clients, external suppliers, and senior management.
• Legal background (paralegal or law clerk) would be a definite asset
