Talent Management Specialist | Aurora

Reporting to the Director, Global Talent Management, the Talent Management Specialist is responsible for collaboratively developing strategies, policies and processes to help maximize human capital capabilities for the organization. This will include succession planning, performance management and leadership development.

What you’ll be doing:
• Support, identify and develop internal talent management strategies, identify gaps and plan processes to support business initiatives including succession planning, identifying talent and creating talent programs
• Support career development for individuals identified in key positions
• Manage Talent Pools, including the development of individual plans for top potentials and support development
• Advise managers on developing career plans and goal setting with their employees.
• Advise managers on Performance Improvement Plans for low performing employees; advise on Individual Development Plans; provide further recommendations to managers.
• Measure return on investment of programs using appropriate metrics and key performance indicators.
• Continue to evolve best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness of talent processes including: competency models, assessments & selection, performance management, succession planning, development planning, talent programs, and workforce planning

Do you have the right qualifications?
• 5-7+ years of work related experience including knowledge of Competency Models, Development Planning Processes, Coaching and Mentoring techniques
• University degree or college diploma in Human Resources or related experience
• Knowledgeable about 360 feedback, Personality Assessments, Cognitive Assessments and Validation studies
• Knowledge of human behaviour and performance, individual differences in ability, personality, and interests, learning and motivation and psychological research methods
• Understanding of group behaviour and dynamics, societal trends and influences, diversity and inclusion, ethnicity, cultures and their history and origins.
