Do you have strong management, and experience in the Steel or Paint Industry? Our client in the Hamilton area has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Technical Services Manager to join their team!

In this role, responsibilities would include:
• Supervise, motivate and guide the activities of the Process Engineer, Laboratory, Quality Assurance and Customer Service personnel.
• Responsible for the management of the Quality System.
• Manage and develop the organization's technical and quality resources to support business strategy and objectives.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist with respect to adherence to environmental standards as they relate to the waste water treatment process and emissions or discharges into the natural environment and city sewers.
• Develop and recommend pricing strategies.
• Establish standard manufacturing practices together with specifications and quality standards to ensure efficient and economic production within customer requirements.
• Monitor adherence to established practices to ensure that any failure to meet standards is investigated and corrective action given and action taken to achieve the required specification.
• Initiate, organize, contribute to and effectively conclude trials of equipment, materials and methods of working to improve the quality and maximize productivity of painted product.
• Recommend the selection and training of personnel for the technical and quality departments to meet the requirements of the business.

As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years of management experience, as a technical leader
• Post secondary education in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy
• Experience in a ISO environment, with strong quality systems knowledge
• Strong continuous improvement background
• Excellent communication skills, able to effectively present in front of a group
