Our client is currently in the process of implementing and testing a new cloud based HRMS system. The client is looking for a strong Q/A leader to mentor the current Test Lead (and possibly take over some areas of the project)

We need someone with excellent communication and project leadership skills who is diplomatically astute who is available to start immediately.

Priorities for this position:

1. - Strong experience as a team lead of a Q/A testing group. (Someone who can guide the work load and priorities. Should have come from a hands-on testing background but won't need to write or execute test plans or scripts any more) The testing that is being done is manual - Don't care about automated testing knowledge

2. - Strong project management skills

3. Ability to liaise with senior stake holders and SME's alike

2. - ideally has had some experience testing an HRIS system

- As a member of the team, the candidate will be responsible for providing the following expertise and experience:

Core Duties – 90%

- Designs and implements standard testing and business readiness controls to ensure the success end-to-end testing of the technology and supporting processes.

- Accountable for overall and end-end testing strategy design, implementation and providing the team recommendations of industry best practices.

-Plan, and execute the testing within each sprint for the functional modules.

-Leading the end-end testing and integration and ensuring that the solution being delivered as per the defined user stories (business requirements)

- Document and executes the Test Escalation Plan to mitigate or counteract project risks. Provide the mitigation strategies for the risks related to testing.
-Facilitate formal reviews of Master Test Strategies and Test plans with the project team.

- Maintain a dashboard that will track and communicate the overall test progress for test types identified in the master test strategy.

- Develop and maintain a Master Test Calendar to the project team.

- Interacting with project team members in order to understand the design specifications and seeking clarification as required to complete test specifications;

- Providing input to the functional and technical teams to ensure that testing considerations are incorporated in the design (e.g., instrumentation of code for debugging);

- Plan, execute and monitoring & control of testing procedures for unit test, integration testing, user acceptance testing and payroll parallel testing following an Agile methodology.

- Overseeing and monitoring of test plans for all levels of testing;

- Coordinating and compilation of test scripts.

- Establishing a validation and verification capability which assumes functional and performance compliance;
- Interacting with the project team members to facilitate testing activities, review test results and plan/complete resolutions,

Scope of Work

- Participate in design, build, test activities following an Agile approach.
-Assist in review of training manual materials.
- Support change management activities.
- Participate in cut over activities and ensure to respond to any debugging and or fixes for the defect management log.

Duties – 10%
- Managing and co-ordinating a variety of resources, test, technical and business across different work streams to establish and implement a test approach that supports the test strategy and programme schedule.

-Generate Test Scenarios for multiple interfaces.

- Manage the review of the Test Scenarios with the Technical and Business Teams.

- Generation of detailed Test Scripts / Steps and supporting data, using test and technical resources.

- Test Issue Management - Support the management of test issues by raising and reviewing defects.

- Attend test issue triage reviews.

- RAID management - identify, record and maintain.

- Regular progress reporting of test status.

- Prepare for, schedule and chair the Test Readiness Review(s).

- Provide input to the test planning and resourcing, identify additional resource requirements and schedule changes.

- Test Plans.

-Test Metrics/Progress Reports/Dashboards during test execution.

- As part of the HRMS Project Team, you’ll be participating in daily scrum activities and the overall scrum lifecycle and will be expected to understand the following:

- Understanding the project objectives, Agile methodology and team ground rules

-Analysis work, providing recommended solution including impacts using a variety of tools including presentation, briefing notes and reports

Scope of Work

-Communicating to and soliciting information from other experts when necessary

- Attending, participating and/or leading meetings and discussions
- Completing all assigned project deliverables and associated documentation at various levels of detail for appropriate stakeholder communications

- Risks and issues management including feedback and guidance to project team members and partners in a timely manner

- Working with Change Management Team, provide guidance and support of organizational change and communication

- Participate in activities for testing, materials development and training of the HRMS solution.

- Understanding of the overall HRMS solution with a focus on your domain of expertise and interdependent partners (internal and external)
-Complete and execute Knowledge Transfer and Sustainment plans to ensure the HR Department is able to support the HRMS solution and processes
