Randstad is hiring on behalf of one of our most prestigious partnering companies, Alstom Transport, to work on the exciting LRT Project as a Test Technician. This is a very hands on role based out of Ottawa.

Responsibilities:
-Read electrical blueprints and schematics and comprehend work instructions.
-Perform and report on acceptance tests and troubleshoot assembly/component problems, with a minimum presence of the lead technician or supervisor, utilizing test procedures and schematics as required.
-Perform some test equipment design, assembly and maintenance for the assigned program.
-Generate some acceptance Test Procedures for assigned program.

Qualifications
* Experience performing diagnostic testing of electrical systems
* Experience using hand and power tools (ex. crimpers, drills, multimeters)
* College/University Diploma in a related field an asset
* Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints an asset
* Must demonstrate ability to measure accurately in both U.S. and metric systems and convert measurements as needed
