We are pleased to offer you this new and exciting PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY with our client for the position of:

TESTER

Location: Halifax NS

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be working on a team that is responsible for testing activities and will participate in the requirements analysis process, create and execute tests based on system requirements and existing test plans, maintain a repository of test artifacts. Working closely with the business and vendors you will focus on implementation QA processes increase efficiencies.

REQUIREMENTS
-You have 2+ years of experience as a Tester
-University degree or Diploma in Computer Science or relevant industry experience
-Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills in dealing with software systems;
-Expertise in creating and executing test plans for functional, feature, integration and end-to-end testing;
-Knowledge of functional testing including test management and execution tools, with solid understanding of data analysis;
-Experience in validation and verification of detailed functionality to customer invoice;
-Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and QA methodologies;
-Experience in manual testing with writing test cases and creating test design from Requirements and RFC’s;
-Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT
Looking for a Tester with knowledge/experience in some of the following:
-Telecommunications
-Wireless billing system experience
-Billing Applications
-Network

NICE TO HAVE
Looking for a Tester with knowledge/experience in some of the following:
- Voice/Data call end to end testing in GPRS/UMTS/LTE protocols
- LTE/UMTS VoLTE Call Flow knowledge;
- E2E network testing with strong UMTS/LTE protocol knowledge;
- Testing/debugging skills with UMTS/LTE devices and/or networks;
- Basic networking skills and knowhow of TCP,UDP,FTP;
- Network log analysis and manipulation;
- VOIP experience
