Randstad Engineering is looking for a Tool Room Manager to join our exclusive client in the Brantford area. If you have 3-5 years of proven leadership experience and a background in mechanical engineering, tooling and die design then this role may be for you!

As a Tool Room Manager your daily activities could look like this,

- Providing leadership and guidance to a team of 6 die setters and toolmakers
- Work with customers and die shops on new tooling launches and changes
- Attend die review and run off sessions as required
- Lead new tooling launches
- Acquire cost information from die shops for new tooling or tooling improvements
- Manager die PM program working with Toolmakers at the SMP facility
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Evaluate die drawings from customer and give suggestions to improve design
- Schedule, set and monitor the planned maintenance schedule

As a qualified Tool Room Manager you will possess the following qualifications,

- Technical Diploma or Degree in Tool and Die Design or Manufacturing Engineering with 6-8 years job related experience as Toolmaker in Automotive setting
- Proven leadership skills of 3-5 years
- Able to work collaboratively with various levels of personnel
