Are you looking for an Underwriting Assistant (UA) position in a well-respected insurance company in North York? Do you have previous experience working with Underwriters? Are you looking to work in a location that is not only is easily accessible by subway but has a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance? One of our clients in North York (Yonge and Finch) area is looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join their growing team immediately. This position reports to, you guessed it right, the head underwriter. You will be working in a team of 6. They provide an intensive 3 month training program

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Entering data into the system
- Making sure applications are complete and liaise with customers / other departments to get missing information
- Answer queries from both brokers as well as customers about application
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail
- Tracking and recording policy changes
- Forwarding non-compliant policies to underwriters
- Other general administrative duties as assigned

- Excellent communication skill

- Experience with PLUS is a plus but not a requirement
