We are looking for a Group Underwriting Coordinator to join our team ASAP. This role is based out of our Richmond office. The main responsibilities of this role is to support the group underwriting function of the team.

Other responsibilities include:
• Ensures that quote and amendment requests are processed accurately and within established turnaround time
• Provides administrative and mathematical support to team members to assist in the achievement of goals, objectives, and efficient operations
• Receive, review and process requests to quote and amendments within established underwriting guidelines
• Collaborate with sales team to determine appropriate subsidy allocation and ensure quote subsidies are applied
• Meet with sales team to discuss issues related to quotes and determine appropriate steps for resolution
• Prepare final quotes to assist with setting required rates
• Provide general administrative support to team members

Qualifications
• 1+ years work experience in insurance/financial services industry with a focus on group products line
• Bilingual (English/French) language skills are an asset
• Working knowledge of group products, contract provisions and administrative procedures
• Experience in a group insurance quote and customer service environment
• Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, internet, CRM and database software
• Working towards ALMI or GBA designations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Enthusiastic and a team player
• Work well under pressure and thrives in a fast pace environment
