job description

Are you a Millwright (licensed or unlicensed) that enjoys performing a wide variety of tasks? Do you like to see tings from the ground up? We are looking for a strong, conscientious employee to help commission a new plant, and learn how to maintain machines that are the first of their kind in Canada. This role is centrally located in Brantford, and is ideal for someone who lives locally.

In this role you will be:
- installing new equipment
- learning from employees overseas (if you speak either Cantonese or Mandarin, that is a HUGE plus)
- performing preventative maintenance
- working with waste water
- performing breakdown service
- completing some facility maintenance, including painting
- helping out production associates when maintenance is taken care of
- performing basic electrical repairs

Advantages
- straight day shift! 8 am - 5 pm
- monday to friday, occasional saturday work to complete PM tasks
- you get to help format the preventative maintenance schedule and your career path within the organization (ie, you get to determine how the maintenance team will function)
- strong potential to turn in to a maintenance supervisor role
- $25-37 hourly
- will pay a premium for any Cantonese or Mandarin speaking employees
- moderate pace of work (no crazy pressure when there are breakdowns)
- have the autonomy to make your own decisions

Qualifications
- previous experience with machine installation
- ideally licensed 433A, but will take unlicensed with strong experience
- able to determine maintenance schedules/planning
- ideally able to speak Cantonese (preferred) or Mandarin
- able to, and willing to help out with facility maintenance
- preferably you live in Brantford
- able to work in an environment with little supervision
