job description

We are currently looking for a Welder - Fitter for afternoon shift in South Surrey BC.
Key Accountabilities:

*Layout, position, align and fit components into welding fixture as instructed.
*Set-up gas-shield, mig-weld and weld parts to job specifications.
*Read, interpret and understand blueprints and welding symbols to complete job assignments.
*Use hand tools, clamps and grinders to perform job tasks.
*Complete basic maintenance on welding equipment.
*Adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices.
*Any other duties that fall within the employee’s capabilities.


Educational and/or Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in heavy duty machining/ manufacturing environment.
Ability to read tape measure and blueprints.
Demonstrated skill level of wire feed (MIG) welding.
Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.
Ability to layout parts using weld fixtures.
First aid license preferred.
