Our client in the Construction Industry in the Hamilton area, has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Yard Supervisor to join their team!

Specific responsibilities would include:
- Steer and supervise the site work in the direction of the company’s needs
- Supervise all functions of the yard, with the exception of placing Purchase Orders and scheduling deliveries
- Inventory management, vehicle maintenance, tool management, formation QC, truck loading and equipment maintenance.
- Work with the Logistics Manager to guarantee satisfaction and value for our customers
- Responsible for the performance of all yard workers and including Lead Hands
- Request materials, equipment and tools as required when documenting shortages.
- Ensures that the implementation of the Safety Program is on the Yard and can modify, update and improve as required in consultation with the Safety Officer.
- Ensures that the workers are trained to safely operate all equipment
- Request safety equipment and supplies and order routine maintenance schedules on any equipment being delivered to the job sites.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working order.
- Takes regular inventories of materials, tools, equipment and miscellaneous items as requested.

As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
- 2+ years of construction yard or construction supervisory experience
- OR 2+ years of experience working in a tool rental or construction material depot.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise a working crew in an efficient manner.
- Excellent communication skills
