On behalf of Boehringer Ingelheim, we are looking for a Senior Buyer who independently and proactively can manage the highly regulated and challenging environment in an international company. In this exciting role, you will gain valuable sourcing experience, and as Senior Buyer, you will work closely with internaternal business partners and with the regional purchasing sourcing team to help define our needs in in a number of categories. You select and negotiate the best value for Boehringer Ingelheim and finalize contracts. You will get the freedom to study the market independently and identify new opportunities to bring value to Boehringer Ingelheim´s business and optimize processes.

Responsibilities:
• Support the implementation of category plans and sourcing strategies
• Collaborate with (inter)national sourcing groups to achieve purchasing results
• Close collaboration with local finance (controlling) and local/global accounting
• Optimize value add, risk management and contract harmonization
• Ensure that selecting, contracting and performance are compliant to valid guidelines, both internal as external
• Communicate and manage change with the business partners
• Guide and implement purchasing processes
• Perform supplier evaluations, negotiations and contracting
• Manage and perform purchasing procedures on local and regional level
• Define and implement purchasing guidelines and policies
• Ad hoc projects

Qualifications and requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration / Economics
• At least 5 years of experience in Purchasing or a similar role
• Profound knowledge of purchasing / sourcing methods, tools and concepts
• Experience in a regional set-up category & contract management
• Experience in contract law and project management
• Excellent command of the English and Danish language
• Excellent communication, collaboration and networking skills
• Strong analytical skills, well organized and structured
• Business focus and result oriented with strong negotiation skills
• Proactive and independent
• Experienced in managing different roles and projects, priority setting
