about the role
Reporting in to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring day-to-day smooth running of the Operations team which includes Trade Finance, Loan Admin, Treasury Operations and Account Opening
- Developing and implementing the unit’s plan to enhance workflow, processes and systems
- Working closely with other Business Units; provide recommendations to improve operational procedures and to develop transaction processing solutions
- Supporting the team in any discussion with auditors or regulators on complex operations topics, including but not limited to changes on transaction processes or workflows
- Keeping abreast of best practices and providing input into local as well as regional operational processes
- Looking into Exception handling and incident reporting
- Developing and monitoring departmental initiatives to drive process and system improvement
- Reporting to management regularly on opportunities/risks and recommend appropriate actions
- Identify and develop talent
- Coaching and guiding team on complex issues
skills and experience required
- Minimum Degree in a relevant discipline
- At least 6 years of Operations experience within Corporate/Wholesale Banking, with prior team management experience
- Experience in Trade Finance Operations or Loan Administration
- Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
