Among your main functions, but not limited to, you will find:


- To communicate the Mission and Values of the company to all staff in the hotel.

- To represent the company to the government, official organizations, local authorities, etc.

- To initialize projects, programs, strategies, budgets and action plans, being responsible for the implementation and monitoring of these to reach the final objectives and goals and helping to implement company and area directives as well as all organizational changes.

- To encourage the team work and ongoing communication between the Management Team and the Department Managers to ensure all staff are aware of their roles and duties.

- To participate with the corporate departments on the development of the budget and Business Plan, presenting and supporting them to the Area Director.

- To be sure that all decisions and actions taken by the Hotel Departments correspond to the budget and established objectives, directing them to maximize revenue and control expenditure, checking the compliance in relation to the budget and forecasts by tracking the monthly results and identifying areas that do not comply with the established Business Plan.

- To keep total control of general administration in the hotel. Consequently, you must monitor the findings of auditors¿ financial and operational reports.

- To manage efficiently the balance of the accounts directly affecting hotel and/or company liquidity, especially stocks and outstanding balances.

- To supervise and evaluate continually the service and brand quality standards, to guarantee the complete satisfaction of the customer.

- To revise continually sales strategies with the objective of improving occupancy and average room rate.

- To define and implement with the help of the competent corporate departments a Sales & Marketing action plan to boost sales as well as the ranking of the hotel in the city or resort.

- To attend, after approval of the competent corporate departments, fairs, conventions and all formats of commercial presentations with agents and clients.

- To analyse brand standard and quality results and establish measures to achieve the best performance and customer satisfaction.

- Carry out a daily analysis of the staff rotation system and authorizing the necessary personnel in accordance with the current occupancy.

- To evaluate continually department managers¿ performance, getting their active participation in setting short and long-term objectives and service and quality standards; monitoring their results to take corrective decisions.

- To revise the salaries of the Hotel Management Team, Department Managers and Assistant Department Managers, and discuss and agree with them their yearly objectives based on the Performance Manual.

- To promote continuous training for all staff in the hotel, giving special emphasis to their professional development within the structure of the hotel, area and/or the company in general and work towards creating a continual talent bank of hotel professionals.

- To implement and promote sustainable and social iniciatives.

- To ensure that the emergency plan is up to date, perfectly known by the whole team and regular drills carried out satisfactorily within legal deadlines.
