The Finance Professional oversees the preparation of financial reports, provides strategic business advice, decision support, and leads the development of annual budgets and periodic forecast updates accurately and on time for one or more business units.

Hybrid - Onsite 1-2 days/week
Responsibilities
Review documents (such as business cases) supporting funding requests for capital projects. Our review of the business case is to make sure the issues are clearly explained, justifications for the investment are sound, alternatives are discussed and properly supported, and the project and funding request are in compliance with the financial policy and project management practices. During the review, we work with the project teams to strengthen and clarify the funding requests. We do accounting review to determine the accounting treatment for the costs included in the funding request (i.e. capital vs. operating expense). The deliverable of our review is a briefing memo (typically 3 to 5 pages) summarizing what we have reviewed and any key issues identified.
We do not prepare budget, forecast, cost reports or variance analysis for projects.
Qualifications
Must haves:
- CPA designation OR CFA is also acceptable
- Minimum ten years experience in progressively more responsible financial role
- Strong communication skills, with a major emphasis on written skills.
- In depth knowledge of accounting practices and principals.
*Preference given to candidates who have experience with writing formal memos and reports for senior management.*
