Your role will be instrumental in analyzing and streamlining expenses linked to the production of goods or services within the organization. Your primary focus will entail evaluating and managing costs associated with manufacturing, procurement, inventory management, and supply chain operations. Through detailed financial analysis and insights, you'll actively contribute to boosting operational efficiency, optimizing profitability, and guiding strategic decision-making processes.

Responsibilities
- Analyze product/service cost structure (direct and indirect) for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual costs to budgeted/standard costs and investigate discrepancies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, logistics) for implementing cost-saving initiatives and process enhancements.
- Engage in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting COG, assessing impacts of production volume, pricing, or input cost changes.
- Aid in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts for COG components, integrating market trends and business drivers.
- Create regular COG reports and dashboards for management review, highlighting KPIs, cost trends, and variance analysis.
- Offer financial insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making regarding product pricing, production planning, and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a financial analyst, preferably with a focus on Cost of Goods or manufacturing operations.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, variance analysis, and cost accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
