Responsibilities
In this Financial Analyst role in Mississauga, you will have the following responsibilities (please read carefully):
• Prepare journal entries, accruals and reconciliations
• Work closely with controller to prepare month / quarter and year end reporting
• Consolidation of commentary and variance analysis
• Play an active role in the month-end financial close and reporting process. Perform monthly financial analysis and communicate to the relevant colleagues in order to support management’s decision-making and scenario analysis.
• Preparation of revenue, margin and trend analysis
• Support the annual audit process, including responding to auditors’ questions and requests.
Qualifications
As an ideal candidate for this Financial Analyst role in Mississauga, you will meet the following criteria:
MUST HAVES:
• 2-5 years' Financial analysis experience
• Advanced level excel skills in a MUST (an assessment will be conducted to ensure readiness)
• A strong understanding of accounting principles (journal entries, accruals and reconciliations)
• Bachelor’s OR Masters' Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Analytical mindset, strong communication skills and ability to interact with executive-level officers.
• Self starter, detail oriented and results - oriented
NICE TO HAVE
• CPA in progress
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Cognos or SAGE)
• Knowledge of IFRA is an asset
• SAP experience
• Database manipulation experience
