Come and be part of a team of powder coaters in a well-known manufacturing company in Brantford, Ontario. As a coater, you will be applying powder coating to steel using a spray gun once any excess water is removed. You will be responsible for maintaining your spray gun for any repairs or reporting defects when needed. Having a keen eye for recognizing colour changes will be important in this role. You can advance by gaining new skills and working in other departments or by being promoted into a leadership role.

Starting Pay Rate: $20.55/hour

Responsibilities
What will you be doing:
Dry excess water off of parts
Apply accurate amount of powder coating using a spray gun
Sand and rework parts to acceptable quality when there is any rework
Maintain coating guns daily
Repair coating guns when needed
Report defects in parts or equipment
Participate in colour change process including cleaning the booth
Recognize and troubleshoot problems and adjust accordingly
Follow the coating department’s break times
Maintain a clean coating area
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Who are we looking for:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Flexible for any shift
- Physically fit for heavy lifting of >35 lbs
- Good organizational skills
