Our client is a leading facilities management company currently seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for their International School client in the Southern district of Hong Kong.
about the job.
Reporting the Facilities Director, you will be responsible for the overall building management of the campus.
  • Prepares schedules and specifications for routine servicing jobs, such as cleaning, set up events/activities, and moving works.
  • Manages the operations of maintenance crews, including assignment of duties, evaluation of performance, quality control and paperwork relating to crew work.
  • Organises and directs schedules for service crews according to the Building Manager’s master schedule.
  • Collaborate with the FM Department and other departments to inform them of necessary steps to complete capital and operational projects.
  • Ensures the efficient operation of services and systems within the whole campus and compliance with SAR Government Rules & Regulations, and Code of Practice.
  • Orders, distributes and stores supplies and equipment. Prepares budgets and spending plans for school campuses and assists with development of capital project scope of works and corresponding capital budgets.
  • Inspects, evaluates and reports on the work of outside contractors. Assembles information on service contract bids.
  • Provides emergency service to different parties after office hours, including typhoons, black rainstorms, etc. Prepares reports of various kinds.
  • Performs other specific assignments as directed by the Facilities Administrator.
skills & experiences required.
  • Degree or above in Facility Management, Building Services Engineering or related discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in facility and project management, of which 5 years are at a managerial/supervisory level
  • Strong background and technical knowledge in building services maintenance and projects
  • Well versed in building and facility management regulatory requirements and practices, and health & safety ordinances
  • Relevant experience at a school setting preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English, able to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment
