About The Company

My client, a financial services firm, is looking for a Project Manager to lead its accounting system transformation projects (IFRS implementation, among others). The financial services firm is well regarded as a clear leader in its category, and it is looking for an experienced Project Manager with accounting knowledge to lead this very important IFRS financial project in Asia. This is a rare, senior opening, and it is open to project managers with good Financial Systems knowledge, who has good understanding of both accounting IT systems, and overall accounting concepts.

About the Team

You will be working with highly competent PMs in Hong Kong, and you will have direct access to senior decision makers within the bank from both business and also technology side, You will be given the authority to lead a team of experienced Senior BAs in Hong Kong, and several internal and external resources in the APAC region. You will also be given support from counterparts in Europe and US.

About the Job

As a Project Manager, you will work on key projects for finance and accounting team, including playing a key role in Oracle Cloud project. You will play a key role in the planning, analyzing, testing and implementation of projects. Main responsibilities included:

  • Project planning, analysis, testing and implementation, with a focus on IFRS implentation
  • Developing an accurate understanding of client requirements and concerns
  • Formulating solutions from both technical and functional perspectives

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Information systems, IT or accounting
  • 6+ years of project management experience gained from sizable financial institutions
  • Understanding of Oracle Cloud reporting tools
  • General Ledger projects experience very useful
  • Fluent communication skills in English essential. Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin ideal.
