about the job.
  • Development of an annually updated plan for APAC regional business and key accounts
  • Providing input on marketing, public relations and business development budgets within the region.
  • Providing input to current and long-term goals, objectives, plans and policies for APAC Land within the group’s overall framework and strategic plans, and monitoring results of regional Business Development efforts in pursuit of these goals.
  • Coordination of a proactive business development effort within existing and emerging markets to ensure that no tenders or opportunities of interest are missed or neglected, and representing our company to major customers or prospects.
  • Maintaining and, where necessary, improving client relations and differentiating our company from other competitors, including representing our company to major prospects and global key accounts in a culturally sensitive and diplomatic manner.
  • Providing a leadership role in winning key strategic and/or large projects in the APAC region, including the need to identify such projects at an early stage, position Fugro as a preferred partner and provide a strong supporting and coordination role in the tender process.
  • Maintaining effective communication on a regional and service line basis, as well as across Fugro Land globally, and cross-divisionally as appropriate, including regular and frequent discussions with regional and service line senior management.
  • Championing the regional use of the Avalon CRM system for maintaining an overview of the project pipeline, proactively building and managing relationships with key global accounts, new and prospective regional Clients, monitoring primary competitors, and communicating relevant information to the Global management team and users.
  • Overall responsibility for regional marketing and business development collateral materials, exhibitions and functions in coordination with regional sales and marketing staff and the global marketing team
  • Ensuring that the responsibilities, authorities and accountability of subordinates are defined and understood through target/goal setting and regular communications
  • Maintaining high ethical standards and complying with all applicable laws, as well as Code of Conduct, QHSSE, HR and IT standards

skills & experiences required.
  • Previous technical and commercial experience at a senior level in the areas of business (Site characterisation, Asset Integrity, GeoConsulting) within the APAC region is essential
  • Based in Hong Kong, but occassionally travel to Singapore.
  • Over 10 years of related experience in business development management.
