?BE (Mechanical) Material Management
12-14 yrs

1. Knowledge of various engineering and manufacturing standards and Processes.
2. Resource Planning.
3. Knowledge of Import export documentation and regulations .
4. Contract Management and contract negotiation skills.Possess good knowledge on commercial and Legal
aspects of contract.
5. Strong understanding of supply chain management and defined procedures in EPC & EPCM Industry.
6. Risk Management and it's Mitigation.
7. Excellent skills in supply chain management, planning, progress monitoring, Coordination of Engineering,
supply chain and site co-ordination for Construction activities.
8. Knowledge of SAP sysetem/ERP is preferred.

?Position involves in depth knowledge all facets of supply chain which includes expertise in negotiation skills,
excellent market intelligence of domestic as well as overseas sources, Contract management required for
to the distillery, Petrochemical, Chemical, Oil and Gas and Refining projects.

?1. Responsible for Strategic, cost effective procurement of all mechanical bought outs / various Packages
through domestic and overseas sources as per quality norms and schedules as per contract.
2. Locating & selecting qualified sources of supply. Bid analysis- tech-commercial analysis of bids,
negotiations, pricing and placing the orders. Monitoring the progress of the suppliers till completion of
3. Developing long-term partnerships with local & overseas suppliers;
4. Managing day-to-day supplier performance to ensure meeting of service, cost, delivery and quality norms.
5. Import substitution and development of indigenous sources of supply.
6. Identifying bottleneck areas beforehand and facilitating solutions for the same through co-ordinated team
7. Budget control -application of various methods for cost reduction such as rate contracts, variety reduction
/ alternate sourcing as well as various materials management techniques.
8. Making effective use of cost analysis tools to support of strategic sourcing process, procurement costs,
cost reduction metrics and bottom line performance indicators.
9. Conducting counselling of suppliers on the basis of their ratings to upgrade them.
10. Directing, leading and motivating workforce; imparting continuous on job training for accomplishing
greater operational effectiveness / efficiency.
