?The job holder is responsible for business in a given geographical area (Branch) which typically comprises two or more states / union territories. He reports to the Head of Sales. The job holder has the responsibility to think through the strategy in the near and medium term of dealing with constraints for sales as well as for increasing sales across the different categories. He also has to ensure that prioritisation of resources are done and he is able to determine what should be in focus at any given time by his team members

The job holder is supported by a team of: Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers and Assistant Manager - Sales and other Regional Managers.

The focus of the job holder is to ensure market share as well as volumes. The planning process ensures that there is an integrated planning approach annually as well as at the start of each monthly cycle of sales. The job holder is also responsible for the execution of the plans through a series of interventions on the field that would focus on specific initiatives.

The job holder is also responsible to deliver bottom-line growth in his region. Therefore beside focussing on value/volume growth, the incumbent is supposed to critically evaluate all spends in his region.

The job holder is responsible for execution of all Sales & Distribution (S&D) Processes in his branch, where he supervises the RSDM in modernising and improving these processes. Similarly, he has the responsibility to supervise the projects and interventions in the areas of Trade Marketing, Merchandising and Modern Trade through the respective managers
