?Main function of the shared services unit (SSU) in India
Organization and management of the process of responding to requests concerning
use of IT for educational purposes in the following areas:
? WEB applications (i. e. completing application forms on WEB sites)
? Students Data Base
? Financial Systems (Agresso)
? Sales Force Applications
The structure and size of the unit will depend on the number of requests and the
time required to respond (and fix) to each request via telephone or email.
The Center specialists must be able to either correctly respond to the request or
redirect it to the competent colleague.
Qualification requirements for the role of SSU Head
? Education: higher technical (IT/ computational math & cybernetics preferable)
? Experience: at least 5 years in managing client support center (50 employees
minimum)
? Skills & Knowledge:
o Knowledge of web systems technology, including communication services
o Ability to organize ordering and dispatching requests
o Ability to organize work of the "service desk"
