?The Sr. Engineer will resume the end to end responsibility of the technical authority of open source databases engineering function within Group; this will be focused on PostgreSQL but will gradually include other DBs like: Mongo, Redis, Cassandra�
While managing the day to day operational activities is not expected here, this role will be accountable for the overall platform operational stability; by working with the platform owner, to build and maintain a streamlined product roadmap that guarantees the product operational efficiency. This role will carry key activities; such as: Standardization, Automation, Monitoring and Capacity planning. This requires the right candidate to be up to date with the relevant product releases and continuously conduct research and development to carefully select the features that will require to be in the relevant products backlog.

Banking background

- Excellent technical knowledge in PostgreSQL DBs
- Implementation of high availability and sharding on PostgreSQL DB
- Experience in migration projects of RDBMS to PostgreSQL

- Experience in designing & developing database solutions for different application requirements
- Good understanding of Redis, Mongo, Neo4j, Cassandra and Maria DBs

- Pro-actively stay current with latest technologies and industry best practices associated to the position through self-learning and R&D
- Good knowledge of the products licensing
- Strong people and leadership management skills with proven ability to lead, motivate, inspire, develop, and encourage people.
