Position: IB/MYP Maths and Science Teacher

Required: September 2018

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Curriculum: IB

Experience: 2+ years' experience

Sponsorship: Single/married teachers - up to one dependant school place

Salary: Competitive

Contract: 1 year

School Vision / Ethos:

This IB world school based in Dublin, catering for students from 12 to 16 years of age, is currently seeking an IB/MYP Maths and Science teacher to join their team. Part of a global schools group, this Campus is the first school authorised in Ireland by the International Baccalaureate Organisation. The school prides itself on providing a new educational model for the 21st century, producing well-rounded, creative individuals who are excellent communicators and have an international outlook.

Teachers should demonstrate a willingness to work in a student centred, supportive classroom that promotes high academic standards, compassion and tolerance, emotional security, resourcefulness, and independent critical thinking.

Location: Ireland's capital city of Dublin, voted the fourth most popular city destination in the world and one of the friendliest places to visit as a tourist! Dublin's elegant architecture and historical landmarks makes it one of Europe's most interesting capitals to visit. It is a relatively small and accessible city with lots to offer that can be explored on foot or by its popular river cruises. Famed for its brilliant nightlife; cultured nights out in Temple bar experiencing traditional music and local bands, fantastic world class restaurants, bars and cafes. Dublin is fast becoming one of the most attractive cities to live as an expatriate in Europe.

Requirements: Ideally 2+ years' experience', within an IB school would be advantageous, however not essential as training can be provided. Certainly a student centred approach is essential. Bachelors in Mathematics, the Sciences or similar alongside a PGCE or relevant country equivalent is required. Eligibility to work in the EU is essential, due to country visa restrictions. Basic Spanish speaking skills advantageous.

Package: The school offers a very good salary - earning around €42,000 per year.
