Electric powertrain components and systems are the core of electric vehicles. By creating the most energy efficient electric powertrain solutions, environmental impact, energy consumption and cost of ownership of mobility are lowered substantially.
In Italdesign, as an Electrical Powertrain Specialist, you will work on an amazing team responsible for creating new hardware platforms that will electrify new vehicle. Areas of development include: electric engine, power control unit, HV wiring, powertrain integration.


• Important is your ability to identify and resolve problems, setting and assuring milestones while communicating effectively in writing and verbally • Managerial skills • Proven experience in electrical engine and power electronics development. • Esperience in calibration and validation of electrical powertrain • Experience in prototype component development and testing. • Automotive background • Knowledge on model based control SW (Matlab and/or dSpace) Additional Information • Education: Master degree in Electrical/Mechatronic/Electronic Engineering degree or equivalent education. • Language skills: Fluent knowledge of written and spoken English and Italian are required. Knowledge of German/Chinese would be appreciated • Workplace: Moncalieri (TO) and availability to travel. The research is aimed at both sexes (L.903/77) Youth@work approved

• Developing electric engine for automotive: engine on axle and in-wheel development, power and size calculation to fit the requirements( mechanical, electric and thermal design), inverter design, mechanical drawing, engine controls specification, technical specification writing • Checking all the innovation on engine technology in order to ensure the most advanced powertrain configuration when vehicle will be on the market • Configuration of the powertrain to be sure that installed components as well as the complete powertrain satisfy all requirements on high-voltage safety and EMC • Mechanical Prototyping work: assembly and modification of electrical and mechanical parts. Ability to work from verbal or written instructions • Electrical Test Bed preparation: Involves the layout and assembly of control units, test hardware and wiring harnesses, including reconfiguring systems and wiring • Operate common electrical lab equipment including power supplies, voltmeters, oscilloscopes • Testing work includes development and reliability test, validation on test bench or virtual validation • Take full account of all safety-relevant aspects in the high-voltage system during the concept phase. This warrants that no-one is put at risk from the high voltage while the vehicle is moving, in the garage or in the event of an accident.
