Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching tailored to the needs of students with ASC, ensuring progress academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Plan and implement a diverse curriculum, including life skills pathways and preparation for qualifications.
- Provide support and guidance to Teaching Assistants, fostering their professional development.
- Uphold school policies, with a particular focus on safeguarding and equality of opportunity.
- Monitor and address students' health, well-being, and personal care needs, collaborating with support teams as necessary.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Teacher status (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in achieving outstanding outcomes
- Thorough knowledge of the curriculum, adapted for SEN students
- Experience working with young people with ASC
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures
- Ability to build nurturing relationships with students
- Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability in teaching methods
