As a Maintenance supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing and leading small team in day-to-day operations along with projects. That plays a key role to other departments. Responsible for the repairs and maintenance of equipment and machines. Identifying the root causes of equipment failures to be proactive allowing to implement fix/changes. To ensure and enforce the compliance with occupational health and safety act regulations, labor law and organizations health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities
Lead the maintenance department, overseeing facility and equipment repair and installation.
Essential Duties and Tasks
- Supervise maintenance staff and oversee facility and equipment maintenance, including HVAC, chillers, and air compressors.
- Prepare and manage work schedules, applying best practices and procedures.
- Ensure safe, timely, and efficient repairs while complying with engineering standards and government codes.
- Monitor and purchase maintenance materials, supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and recommend corrective measures.
- Implement and maintain plant safety practices and compliance programs.
- Train and schedule on-the-job training for staff, and recommend improvements to management.
- Coordinate with temporary outside contractors and assist in capital projects as needed.
- Manage the preventive maintenance program and ensure all activities meet safety protocols.
- Maintain records and documentation, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure timely inspections and cleanliness of facilities.
Qualifications
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role, with proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role.
- Proficient in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical manufacturing processes.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
- Strong management and organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Exercise sound judgment and decision-making abilities to identify problems and develop solutions.
- Previous plastic manufacturing experience is a huge asset.
- 433A license will be an asset.
