about our client

Headquartered in Western Europe, our client is one of the market leading innovators and pioneers in the manufacturing and distribution of plastic and fibre products. The team in Malaysia is looking for an addition to the Finance team and they are seeking an outstanding Accountant to be a part of their growth.

about the role

Finance and Accounting:

  • Assist in annual budget and quarterly forecast and variance
  • analysis of actuals vs budget and or forecasts.
  • Monthly posting & printing the report of accounts payable and
  • general ledger and closing of AP, AR, cash book & Inventory
  • Coding GL code on AP/AR/Cash book & inventory documents for
  • superior posting entry.
  • Monthly download & run report from Impact AP, AR, Cash book &
  • Inventory for keep filling.
  • Prepare cheques for payment and or upload payment files to e-
  • banking platform for authorized signatories to sign or approve.
  • Monthly preparation of balance sheet schedule for the control
  • Prepare consolidation of accounts and ensuring the statutory
  • accounts and work with external Company Secretary to ensure
  • compliance of annual reporting and audited accounts.
  • Responsible to co-ordinate the preparation of external audit
  • materials, prepare schedules for annual audit
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from the line manager.

Human Resources Support:

  • Coordinate with appointed vendor on payroll processing and
  • liaise with local government authorities for statutory contribution
  • and deductibles for payroll related matters
  • Administration of leaves and claims processing
  • Provide other HR support: eg: hiring, etc

This role is within the finance team and reports to the Finance Manager

your profile

  • Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent
  • At least 4-6 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Experience in ERP system is an advantage
  • Familiar with COGNOS Controller
  • Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • A good sense of commerciality
  • Confident and articulate.
  • Teamwork
  • Be able to multi-task, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
