Record-to-Report (R2R) Manager

about the job

  • Monitor and ensure that all related activities to the month end close are performed in accordance to the global timeline communicated and prescribed checklist
  • Review and approve monthly reports
  • Liaise with the local Business Partners on the month end activity, including setting up calls with local country teams during month end close.
  • Review, approve and posting of journals to accounting system in line with the accounting policies and adhering to the SLA timeline
  • Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations in line with the global policy and timeline
  • Ensure the monthly and quarterly reporting submissions are accurately prepared and submitted timely
  • Ensure that all documentation of RTR activities is duly prepared in desktop procedures, approved and updated
  • Ensure smooth transition of new accounting tasks into RTR including planning, work shadowing, go live, and post implementation review
  • Management of relevant master data

Performance Management:

  • Manage deliverables to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) defined for the team
  • Establish and continuously monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the team to meet the performance standards of the SLAs

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve RTR processes
  • Provide support and input as required to companywide continuous improvement initiatives
  • Proactively challenge the Status Quo, making fact based recommendations

Stakeholder Management:

  • Attend structured meetings with key stakeholders
  • Respond timely to queries from stakeholders and take actions to resolve
  • Ensure high levels of stakeholder service and satisfaction

People Management:

  • Provide effective line management to direct reports
  • Ensure that KPIs are integrated into personal performance objectives
  • Ensure that effective personal performance and development reviews are carried out periodically

Other activities:

  • Ensure that all matters related to IFRS, statutory audit and tax filing are attended to on timely manner and in compliance with legislation and regulatory requirement
  • Performs any other duties as required

skills and experience required

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in accounting and finance
  • Experienced in a Finance Shared Service environment, especially in RTR function
  • Ability to work directly with multiple countries and stakeholders across APAC and globally in a Finance capacity
  • Process and performance management driven
  • Ensuring Service Level Agreement (SLA) and relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met
  • Committed to delivering quality service
  • Open to feedback and continuous improvements
