Our client: one of New Zealand's leading technology businesses, require the services of a Senior Business Performance Analyst.

Reporting in to a Performance & Planning manager, you will be responsible for partnering with the business units to ensure the successful running of the Group business performance and planning processes. You will ensure aspirational plans are set, the appropriate key performance indicators, financial reporting frameworks are in place and prepare monthly reports to the executives and Board.

Responsibilities include:-

• Support the Group planning process by partnering with the business units and other parts of Group Finance to ensure the appropriate targets are set, and that we have the right tools and processes in place to optimise Group results. This covers the longer term strategic planning, understanding market drivers and our trajectory, target setting, coordinating the business unit bottom up planning, Board approval, and periodic forecast/outturn management.
• Support the monthly GL close and Group reporting process, prepare reports for the executives and Board. Reporting which includes understanding the risks and opportunities in relation to targeted business outcomes, analysis of trends and provision of insightful explanations of issues and variances to plan.
• Support the messaging of half and full year external reporting, along with adhoc reporting and analysis.
• Support Investor Relations, create presentations, support business unit presentation development, create backup materials and answer analyst queries.
• Assist a Group change program with reporting and assist with reviewing and respectfully challenging the EBITDA benefits case for business initiatives.
• Drive improvement of our processes, removing complexity and ensuring buy-in from stakeholders.
• Demonstrate effective stakeholder management including business unit teams, Group Strategy, and other parts of Group Finance.

Skills & experience required:-

- You are CA qualified, and ideally have “Big 5" experience with around 6-7 years of financial or commercial experience.

- Knowledge of key business drivers, and sound computer skills (TM1, Excel, and Powerpoint)

-You have a positive attitude, are a fast learner, take responsibility for your deliverables, are able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and are proactive in preventing/dealing with issues as they arise.

- You have excellent relationship management and communication skills, work collaboratively within and across teams, and are able to articulate complex ideas in a simple way (both written and verbally).

- You must have the right to work and live in NZ.
