C / C++ Developer (mid-senior) - Engineering, R&D - Auckland

  • Up to $120k base plus benefits
  • North Shore based company
  • Innovative engineering and product design business

About the Company:

Due to a new product pipeline and an increase in connective display feature research, this international engineering business which designs and develops highly advanced electrical and navigation products are now looking for a number of C++ Developers (across all levels from mid to senior) to come on board and join their development team in Auckland.

What you’ll be doing?

  • You will deploy bespoke Linux distributions for the company’s high-end embedded systems
  • Programming in C++ and/or C as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team
  • You will assist in creating robust, maintainable and extensible systems based on board support packages from the processor manufacturer, Linux community packages, and in-house development.
  • Contribute to the improvement and innovation of the company’s development processes and tools

Experience required

  • Experience working on Linux OS, preferably on embedded systems
  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming and/or Bash shell scripting
  • Experience of low level kernel debugging (preferable)
  • A good understanding of electronic hardware design
  • Experience with QT or other similar application framework
  • Polished communication and interpersonal skills
