The Role

Based in the business support office here in Auckland, your remit will be to support the Oporations Manager and take ownership of everything IT related. This is a super varied role; you’ll be supporting the business’s systems and technology which will include IT technical support, systems development and managing third party suppliers such as hosting and systems companies.

You need not be an IT technical expert since they need an “all rounder” that can setup and manage a small team of support staff (permanent and contract) and suppliers ensuring the IT service delivery meets the needs of the business. You will need however Point of Sale experience and/or strong retail or eCommerce knowledge.

Requirements

  • Strong, well-rounded IT experience supporting a retail business (MUST)
  • Previous experience working in a Point of Sale environment supporting IT systems and technology
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft would be advantageous (cloud, BI, reporting etc.)
  • Experience managing projects (budgeting, planning, communicating to the right people)
  • Ability to effectively manage 3rd part vendors
  • Spearheading new technical initiatives for the business and improve IT capabilities
  • Able to work in an agile manner and priorities / re-priorities plans
  • Capable of “rolling your sleeves up and getting your hands dirty’
  • Great communication and leadership skills
