Java (Hybris) Developer - Innovations and Ventures

About the company

This business is a true market leader in their domain providing enterprise level solutions and services that benefit everyone across New Zealand. They are a communications giant with a fantastic pedigree who are now looking to expand their Tech Team in a variety of areas which will enable them to enhance their customer offerings and services.

About the role

  • As part of a highly agile, multidisciplinary development team, you will work on business critical and R&D projects
  • You will work across the full software development lifecycle from inception through to roll-out/delivery (a fast turn around is often required so you will not be bored!)
  • You will use the latest technologies to ensure the quality and performance of software in built and maintainance phases of development
  • There will be plenty of time for innovation and research!

Skills and experience

  • Strong background in using SAP Hybris
  • Strong commercial development experience in Java / J2EE
  • MVC framework experience - Spring / Hibernate etc.
  • Knowledge of unit testing and following practices such as TDD beneficial
  • Experience working in a Agile environment following flavors such as Scrum, Kanban and/or Lean (ideal but not essential)
  • A passion to continuously grow and develop your skills set
  • Polished communication and interpersonal skills
