About the Role

As part of the Security Network Operator position, you will operate and control and range of different security systems, including personal medical alarms and residential alarms, commercial CCTV cameras and alarms, and their associated computer software. Technical

You will receive inbound and make outbound calls during the course of rotating shift, so customer service skills is an absolute must. The ability to quickly build rapport and trust with Red Wolfs customers is essential.

There is a requirement for occasional field based work, using the Red Wolf vehicles to visit site and assess a situation. A full and clean drivers licence is required for this role.

Duties

  • Operators monitor medical alarms and life protection devices and must follow strict SOP's to render assistance when called upon or emergencies occur.

  • Control room operators monitor activity at sites in line with client needs and dispatch security guards to areas when emergencies occur.
  • Use software and CCTV systems to monitor alarm activations at commercial, residential or other forms of infrastructure.

  • May also be required to supervise and/or co-ordinate the activities of manpower operatives in the field.

  • Being proactive in all manner of other duties including customer contact, database updates, call backs, following up on any issues etc.

Competencies and Requirements

  • Be familiar with computer applications and personal computers.
  • School Certificate in Maths, English and Science or equivalent NCEA.
  • Typing proficiency at least 30 words per minute.
  • MUST be able to obtain and maintain a national security clearance.
  • Ability to work rotating 24/7, weekends and holidays
  • Full and clean drivers Licence
  • NZ passport
  • NZ citizenship
  • No Criminal Convictions
