About the role

This is a permanent position within a reputed organization. You will work with a team in charge of providing support with system availability, network support, management of IT systems as well as incident and request resolution.

Responsibilities

  • The key focus of this role is to:

    • Provide monitoring support and maintenance across the delivery of IT Services. This includes setting up, monitoring and responding to alerts within the various IT systems utilised at the Ports.
    • Provide troubleshooting for various automated alarms across the IT Infrastructure stack, including platforms, networks and applications.
    • Continually improve monitoring standards and workflows to provide proactive services to ensure system availability.
    • Closely working within ITIL frameworks to ensure incident, problem, change and release management are adhered to.

Skills and experience

  • It is essential that applicants have experience in Windows Server, Workstation and Network administration. Candidates must be comfortable troubleshooting the Windows stack and be well versed in incident and event monitoring procedures.
  • Experience with VMware.
  • Knowledge of basic TCP IP principals.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification
  • Previous experience within the transport/logistics and/or similar industry
