The following elements would be a plus:  

  • You hold one of the following certifications or would be capable of holding one: Security Essentials, CCNA, CompTIA Security, CompTIA Network, MILE2 certifications, 
  • Experience of vulnerability and threat assessment. 
  •  This position will require a security clearance by recognized authorities. 

your tasks

  •  Monitors and analyses information security alerts from SIEM, infrastructure devices and information systems, 
  • Ensuring that all incidents, alerts and exceptions are responded to in accordance with established procedures, 
  • Escalating events to a 2nd Line Security Analyst, 
  • Being responsible for SOC work instructions, ensuring they are reviewed and amended, 
  • Maintaining coherence in security concepts, tools and best practices, 
  • You should be able to work shifts. 

responsibilities

Education/Experience: 

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer security, or related technical discipline coupled
  • min. one year of experience in information technology.  

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Experience of vulnerabilities threats and security incidents assessment, 
  • Familiarity with security scanners, SIEM, monitoring, auditing and intrusion detection systems, and forensic response preferred, 
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence, alerts, vulnerabilities, and anti-virus software preferred, 
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of employees, 
  • Ability to work under time pressure
