your tasks

  • you will implement & control the entire purchase process for PFC. For the rest of the organisation you will be a dynamic, accessible and pro-active colleague
  • you will evaluate & select the existing and potential new suppliers within the different product categories
  • after persevering negotiations with the suppliers you will be responible to make the necessary contracts
  • based on production scheduling you will ensure the in time delivery of all necessary raw materials, auxiliaries and services
  • you will focus on long term cooperation with suppliers to create innovative and cost efficient purchases
  • together with your colleagues you will initiate, participate and evaluate improvement programs related to logistics, stock management and the different purchase processes. All this to improve & optimise the overall purchase function
  • in order to realise all this within PFC you need to stay informed about developments within your markets and you will be final responsible for the entire purchase process (contracts, orders, KPI’s, forecast, budget, costsavings,…)
  • you will work with the existing ERP program to have at all time the actual and correct data available
  • at the same time you will be Category Manager on group level responsible for one or more categories. For these products you will be the first point of contact for existing as well as potential new suppliers, you will be responsible for the group purchase strategy as well as for all negotiations with the suppliers envolved.
  • together with the other Category Managers within the group you will form a strong team focussed on continuous improvement, uniformisation of processes, consolidation of the existing supplier portfolio and creation of the overall group purchase strategy. Together with the other Category Managers you will report in this role to the Group Purchasing Director.


  • you finished your Master studies and preferably you already have some years of experience
  • having a commercial attitude is absolutely necessary, experience within procurement is an extra added value
  • you are an enthousiast team player, well focused and result oriented. This in combination with a strong persuasiveness, being initiative-oriented and stress-resistant
  • you have a good knowledge of Excel, Word & Power Point and you are open to work with other ERP programs
  • you communicatie fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
