The Maintenance and Reliability Manager has the overall operational responsibility and accountability to develop, implement and continuously improve the maintenance work order process and the maintenance reliability program for all EMEA Packaging sites. The Maintenance and Reliability Manager has a functional role to all maintenance managers/supervisors on the sites.

your tasks

  • Develop, implement and continuously improve a maintenance work order process on all PI EMEA sites
  • Prioritise preventive and corrective work orders against production schedule and budget
  • Planning & Store keeping: Work preparation to ensure that tools, spare parts and a work description are available. Create a library of recurring jobs, based on parts/tool lists and Visual Work Instructions
  • Ensure internal and external maintenance technicians are scheduled 100% of their available time
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve a maintenance reliability (create Criticality Matrix based on cost of failure, HSE, legal requirements, define method for criticality review (FMEA, ABC classification etc.)
  • Support Maintenance Department with required tools (Maintenance Management Tool, Prioritisation Matrix, FMEA, Equipment failure modes etc.)
  • Monitor, drive and report Monthly Gap analysis and Quarterly definition of cross-functional Root Cause Problem Solving sessions (Kaizen Projects) on all sites
  • Monitor, drive and report Maintenance related Kaizen and Cost Mitigations projects
  • Continuously fill the project pipeline and ensure all site projects are delivered as planned
  • Develop and Implement yearly maintenance assessment
  • Transfer best-practice and standardization of process and equipment within and across sites


  • 5-10 year experience in Maintenance Reliability in a complex multinational chemical environment
  • University master’s degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Electrical / Automation Engineering
  • Demonstrated planning, organising, project management and strategy implementation skills
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
  • Continuous Improvement Mind-set, preferably Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and/or Lean Master
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language
  • Leadership potential and able to motivate and inspire a workforce
  • Able to travel significantly, ca. 25-50%
