your tasks

  • Participate in transfer of welding processes (stainless steel and aluminium alloys) to production site
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for welding processes (Process Flow Chart, PFMEA, Welding Procedures, Work Instructions, Visual Aids, etc.)
  • Continuously improve existing welding processes (welding equipment, welding process parameters, etc.)
  • Seek opportunities and implement improvement ideas to increase productivity and efficiency in welding area 
  • Coordinate failure analyses and root cause analysis on welding related issues 
  • Train operators to setup welding process and solve basic problems on welding equipment
  • Develop internal competences and welding procedures
  • Define welding process (including welding parameters) for NPI products
  • Collaborate with suppliers in technical matters related to welding processes
  • Be a team player working closely with Production & Quality Departments to solve technical problems (related to welding operation) and ensure a smooth production with expected quality level
  • Operate in line with company policies and procedures with focus on quality management system, company ethic & culture and harmonization with Group Compliance programs
  • Work with the Company’s health, safety and environment rules & policies

  • Bachelor’s degree – technical
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant position
  • International company work environment experience
  • Process & products re-location experience
  • Layout design & optimization practical experience
  • Extensive experience in robotic welding (ABB)
  • Extensive practical knowledge of welding of metal components (MIG/MAG/TIG) following relevant ISO norms (e.g. ISO 5817, ISO 9712, PN-EN 13018, ISO 17635, ISO 3452, etc.)
  • NPI process knowledge, skills & experience
  • Lean production philosophy practical knowledge & skills
  • Metal fabrication & product assembly knowledge & experience
  • Quality Management System skills – will be an asset
  • Analytical & mathematical mind with problem solving capability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to make sound judgments and decisions (as an individual and as part of a team)
  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask & act in a timeline-driven environment
  • English – advanced 
  • ERP systems & MS Office package knowledge
  • IWE certification – will be an asset
  • AutoCAD 2D system practical knowledge (3D skills will be an asset)
  • ABB robots programming practical knowledge
