    Assistant Quantity Surveyor (House building)Bedfordshire£28,000 - £35,000 - Depending on experienceThe Company:We are currently searching for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, for our client a highly successful housing developer that has experienced steady growth and has established themselves as a leading name in the Residential market. Projects are based around Northern Home Counties. Role Duties:You will work under an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor and a Managing Quantity Surveyor Carrying out accurate build cost assessments of acquired land; maintain budget control throughout development; and manage cost overruns within tolerance levelsAccurate costing and preparation of budgets for each aspect of site developmentAnalysing and reporting on costs and cash flow vs budgetUndertaking accurate viability/feasibility studies to support decision making in site acquisition and developmentPreparing tenders and procure sub-contractors, goods and materialsEvaluating and agreeing variations and instructionsLiaising with site personnel and subcontractors in order to maximise productivityUsing a payments system for the payment of sub-contractors and the supply of goods and materials in line with Group policy and proceduresPromoting and acting in accordance with Group values, systems, policies and proceduresTo be successful in the role you will possess the following skills and attributes:QS experience (with a main contractor or developer)Experience within the house building sector would be beneficial Ability to work in a fast pace environmentGood computer skills Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
