But working with autistic people gives so much more in return.About the client:A specialised residential home where we support 4 autistic adults to develop skills to promote their health and wellbeing, inclusion in the local community and greater independence. We are looking for staff with a "can do" approach who can offer active support to facilitate and enable the people we support to progress and move on. All of the support provided is person centred, to enable those whom we support to live independently, gain employment, access education, join clubs or participate in activities within the community.We are looking for staff with a "can do" approach who can offer active support. You'll be working with autistic adults and their families.You will be required to do the following; Personal Care SupportSupport the safeguarding of adults, putting their well being above anything elseBe alert to signs of abuse or distress and monitor their physical and emotional needsTo be able to remain calm and be a calming influence on the childrenUndertake any necessary trainingTo supervise the adults both within and outside of the homeUse a proactive approach if an adult displays behaviour that they may be a risk to themselves or others Have an understanding of the care standards and relevant guidanceHave an understanding of care plans and risk assessmentsBe willing to undertake an enhanced DBS checkBenefitsOpportunity for immediate start (subject to referencing and checks)Flexible working shift patternOpportunity for sleep-ins 30 days holidayIf this is the career you want, please submit your CV or call us on 01752 358723.
