For our client Lonza in Visp we are looking for an HR Professional 100% (m/w) until the end of the year with the option to extend.

Job Description Summary

As part of the HR Services & Solutions Switzerland Team the HR Professional provides excellent HR administration services to the employees, managers and HR community. This role is responsible for accurate and timely handling of complex HR cases, administering HR-related documents compliant with applicable legislation and ensuring that the relevant HR systems are up to date.

Role Purpose

Delivers accurate and timely HR administration (Workforce Administration and Payroll) support to internal stakeholders like employees, managers and the HR community, ensuring adherence to HR procedures and processes.

Documents and transfers knowledge of recurrent cases to help increase case resolution. Provides input and ideas to improve transactional, respectively process efficiencies.

Assumes ownership for performance against HR Services & Solutions objectives for areas of responsibility.

Interacts and works closely with other HR Services & Solutions members and other HR teams on issues that relate to but also may require involvement of teams beyond the HR Services & Solutions.

Explain applicable Lonza's policies and procedures. Manage appropriate documentation and generate related correspondence. Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements. Support other location in administrative tasks and different stakeholders (line manager, HRBP's…etc.) in using of HR systems.

  • HR administration (contracting, onboarding, termination…)
  • Social legislation of assigned countries
  • First experience in person related payroll activities


  • Commercial education (KV) (preferred), other HR related function (Education as 'Sachbearbeiter Personalwesen' or 'Personalfachfrau/-mann)
  • Finished commercial apprenticeship with following work experience in HR administration
  • 3-5 years' experience within an HR administration or HR shared services organization as a must
