For a long term temporary assignment for our client, the company Philip Morris International, based in Lausanne, we are seeking for an:

Technical Project Manager

Temporary assignment

The Role:

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) by managing and leading Project Development from Project definition up to introduction in Mass Production (MP)

Your Contribution:

  • Manage and coordinate New Product Introduction development through the product life cycle process from concept to product delivery - apply project management standards.

  • Collaborate with Portfolio / Product Design Manager / Engineering to develop project scope and to define project plan.

  • Establish, Own and monitor product and project Cost, Schedule, and product experience.

  • Lead and staff a project team - multi-functions and multi-sites (worldwide)

  • Manage key project / product documentation.

  • Report and communicate on regular basis; escalate when project goals are at risk. This includes regular reporting of project status to key stakeholders, business owners through management review meetings and Gate meetings as prescribed by internal development processes

  • Identify, evaluate and escalate the risks associated with project activities and take appropriate actions to control the risks and to drive solutions.

  • Synthesize data and information related to scope or risks change.

  • Collaborate with Manager to improve project organization, efficiency (tools, processes) and time to market.

  • Ensure that project activities operate within the policies and processes of the organization.


  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager with involvement from initial concept through delivery of products integrating electronics, soft and hard materials.

  • Excellent knowledge of Project Management Standard & Methodology from project concepts stage to full development - stable manufacturing.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Strong organizational, communication, excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across organizations and geographies and interact, influence and negotiate effectively with all levels of management.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and sustaining projects.

  • Independent and Critical thinking with Analytic skills.

  • Good understanding of working with functional team in Global Environment.

  • Ability to travel - Intercontinental based on project events.

  • Ability to develop comprehensive project development timeline by using proper tools.

    In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

  • Formal Project Management training and Certification (PMP).
